Jerusalem: A Cookbook $19.95
Right now hands down I think this is the MUST HAVE cook book out there. My love affair with Chef Yotem Ottolenghi continues. Last year’s all time cook book, PLENTY (which if you don’t have you need to buy this one first!) is innovative and based on freshness and seasonality… it’s not overly fussy and easy to follow recipes will have you on a visual overload of gorgeous, delicious food. With this cook book, Jerusalem, Chef Yotam Ottolenghi has teamed up with, Chef Sami Tamimi explore the vibrant cuisine of their home city—with its diverse Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities. (I grew up eating most of these foods) Both men were born in Jerusalem in the same year—Tamimi on the Arab east side and Ottolenghi in the Jewish west. Yet another stunning cookbook, it offers 120 recipes from their unique cross-cultural perspective, from inventive vegetable dishes to sweet, rich desserts. With five bustling restaurants in London and two stellar cookbooks, Ottolenghi is one of the most respected chefs in the world. It truly is that good.
THE HOME DECORATOR
You can’t go wrong with this one! Pier1 has to one of my favorite places to go shopping for decorative items for the home. From dining to décor, even outdoor furniture… that someone on your list will defintaly appreciate being able to walk into there and pick out something they love… and trust me, they will find something they love there!
