Unfortunately, most moms don’t take the time to nurture and care for themselves, and they’re left feeling physically and emotionally drained.
So, the question is how can you maintain sanity and serenity amidst the unique challenges presented by motherhood? Here are a few simple techniques that you can incorporate into your daily routine that will calm your body and mind, and give you a few moments of peace. Do these anywhere, anytime you feel stressed out and you’ll feel instant relief.
STRESS RELIEF TECHNIQUES
#1. Solar Plexus Point: Take the thumb of one hand and press firmly into the middle of the palm of your other hand for 10 seconds. Release and repeat. Do this 3 times then switch hands. This is the reflex area to the Solar Plexus, which is the nerve switchboard to the body. Stimulating this area can relax the entire body and soothe the nervous system.
#2. Neck Release: Interlace your fingers, place your hands behind your head, and with your thumbs press the two points at left and right sides of the base of the skull in the indentation between the muscles and bones. This is a powerful acupressure area for stress relief.
#3. Third Eye Point: With your thumb and middle finger, press firmly in the indentation between the eyebrows where the nose connects with the forehead. By stimulating this sensitive area you release tension and open your intuitive third eye, which is the gate to higher consciousness. I say AMEN to that!
